Paper Mario is my favourite game, and I've always wanted to do some tribute art to it in a soft watercolour style. I learned a lot with this one, and I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Luigi fortress 🔥

luigi stands in fortress level 1-3 from super mario brothers 3. podoboos jump around him and a flying disc circles as he considers his precarious situation on the blocks above a sea of lava. Dry bones walks in the farther area below a ? block. you can totally get a warp whistle if you fly up above that area, ever see The Wizard? it was a commercial for nintendo but it gave US audiences the first taste of smb3 gameplay and this area was featured.
