Also let me clarify, in a system built to keep us oppressed, media literacy is a privilege & I am very privileged to have had the education that I had. But we should all be working towards making media literacy accessible for everyone in our communities bc that's an important part of resistance.

Nothing wrong with that, I love those books too. But then they go online & give other books bad/DNF reviews just bc they didn't get anything/what they wanted out of it. I feel like all anyone wants to read these days are ACOTAR clones. 💀 (3/3)

It has come to my attention that the Gen Alpha/Gen Z kids find Ashby (you know, that Lorax girl on tiktok) cringe and unfunny. Their reasoning is that it's Millennial humor and that makes it even fucking funnier to me. All of my echolalia stims have been Ashby quotes for like three weeks.

I rarely get gendered correctly in public yet (ppl avoid gendering me lol), but I also rarely get called ma'am anymore so when I do it feels like getting a black eye. And some kid from maintenance just came in to check for a leak emergency & called me ma'am like FOUR TIMES. 💀

It is very difficult to prepare to relocate to a new state & also try to completely rearrange my life/habits/preferences to be more physical media, third space, irl connection based. They make it so fucking difficult for us on purpose but I feel like it's crucial to human survival.
