Enjoying some time in BC. It's spring here. Still winter is Saskatchewan.
Spring Solstice. A time to plant seeds for this cycle of growth. Seeds for the garden. Seeds of new ideas. Seeds of new projects.
Love seeing pictures of socks made with yarn I have dyed. Thanks so much for posting.
Love to see socks knit with the yarn I dye! I started a pair today. My goal is to only use up my sample skeins right now because I have so many.
I got it started. Enjoying the knit on this -40 day. Nothing better than having tea and knitting by the fire.
Love how your garden looks. I did a few with off cuts from the sawmill. I put the runner beans on them. I love the idea of attracting birds to the garden. Also bees and butterflies. It's the first year for this garden space. Lots of plans for future development here on the farm.
With a bit of research about what native plants I could use, this idea becomes a garden project for this year. #birdsinthegarden #nature #birdwatching #gardening
Celtic tradition says if you send out goodness from yourself, if you share that which is happy or good within you, it will all come back to you multiplied ten thousand times. Love has no competition, there is no possessiveness or control. The more love you give away, the more love you will have.
I will check that out. I need a new project. Always have socks on the go but you squally have a more challenging wip at the same time. I just finished Local Yarn Shawl by Casapinka
Grounding. An important part of my day. I take a breath with the land beneath me. I take a breath with the sky above me. I take a breathe with the currents of the waters within and that surround this land. Inspired by The Book of Celtic Magic by Kristoffer Hughes.
Again another day starting off at -28. Someone has no desire to go outside. I feed birds all winter long. So I head out every morning to make sure those feeders are full in this weather. #winter #farmlife #spoileddogs #selfsustainable #shamanism #artistslife
When it -26 and no one wants to go outside.
Tonight at the creek. Momma Moose and her baby. Those long legs get through all the snow easily.
This peony plant has been growing on the farm since I came to it 50 years ago. I've always loved it.
Yarn colorways inspired by the nature around me.
Planning for the garden.
Garden art in winter!
Hand painted yarn inspired by the Boreal Forest in northern Saskatchewan.
Little clay goddesses with their story. Creating from the heart.
Love, Love, Love this!
