Here it’s gypsies / old folks cars because of that, hundreds of thousand of km without much problems
It’s rare nowadays because everyone want one so it’s REALLY expensive even with high milage

In Europe especially in France diesel cars are extremly common, in the 2000s it was the majority of cars because of tax advantages and really good engines at the time ( bruh my car make like 60mpg and it’s a old ass 80s diesel)
We even have the HDI, TDI concurrent from Peugeot
