Please be advised that another bear sighting has been reported in the north end of Selkirk. People are encouraged to avoid the area at this time. The RCMP has been notified and officers are responding.

Last week, a potential bear sighting was reported in Selkirk Park. Manitoba Conservation attended, set a trap, and no further sightings have been reported.

All trails in Selkirk Park are now open to the public.

Conservation officers attended, set a trap, and confirmed no immediate threat to public safety. As a precaution, all Selkirk Park trails are temporarily closed.

We're relocating today's (August 9) Music on Manitoba event to the Selkirk Recreation Complex (180 Easton Dr.). The night market & live music will take place on the ice surface, while the kids activities are happening in the lobby.
