Watching Al Jazeera news tonight. The channel calls out the Israeli govt's actions for what they are: acts of genocide. The targetted assassination of journalist Anas Al Sharif is despicable. My prayers are for him and for his 3 AJ colleagues murdered, and for what remains of their families. 💔🙏🙏🙏🙏
Video shows the aftermath of the Israeli strike on a tent for media workers that assassinated five Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza City.
From my FB timeline from this day 18th Feb 2021. 5 years ago, little did we know of Edwards', or indeed of Cuomo!

Learnt a new word today: KAKISTOCRACY! Thank you @hollyvalakresch.bsky.social!
Post from last year re: current US Republican administration under the arch-kakistocrat!

Let us in the UK not be fooled by such incompetent charlatans of Reform/ex-Tory/Tory who chant similarly dangerously deluded "kak"!
For anyone unaware that we are currently living in a Kakistocracy, it means we’re under the rule of the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous members of society.

Victoria Derbyshire allowing Zia Yusuf to tie himself in absolute knots by asking him simple questions about Reform policy.

A masterclass in quality journalism.
"So will it be the same act but with a different label?"

Victoria Derbyshire humiliates Zia Yusuf on Reform UK's plan to scrap the Equalities Act, because, as she reads each of the things from the Equalities act he confirms they'll still be protected 🤷‍♂️

#WinterOlympics #Curling The commentating team of Jackie Lockheart Steve Cram are excellent. But so rustrating that in the developing 3rd end of the GBR v SUI match they spent 5 mins or so chatting about the Canada controversy & what officials are up to in the other matches! 😠 Stick to the GB match!

#WinterOlympics #Curling The last two matches were a difficult watch. In the semi-final Sweden & Italy - whom they'd beaten in the round robin - played brilliantly. Dodds & Mouat were superb and were top of the table. So gutted for them and Team GB - another 4th place.😥

So sad to hear this. I watched her pandemic briefings with Nicola Sturgeon as the UK govt was so inept. Finding out now about her public service.
Thoughts with her partner Susan & her family. RIP Jeane Freeman🙏

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

It's bad enough having to get a rail replacement bus to treble your journey time. But then to find #Thameslink have laid on a bus where the on-board toilet is out of order. Unacceptable! 😡

Extraordinary match! Congratulations, #CarlosAlcaraz, winning 7-5 in the 5th set after #Zverev served at 5-3. After 5 hours of such demanding tennis, it shows how brutal this sport is at the elite level!

Sad to watch the final #PressPreview on #SkyNews presented by Barbara Serra, with reviewers Theo Usherwood and Carolyn Quinn.
It's been for me the most important news programme I've watched avidly the past two years after the demise of BBC News #ThePapers, much missed, which last aired on 2/1/2023.😥

Sad to watch #SkyNews #PressPreview for the final time with Anna Botting, who's been one of the presenters for 20 years! Gutted it's ending on Sunday night. After BBC News ended The Papers, this became my go to programme for a news catch-up. The Wrap won't be the same! Congratulations, Anna Botting👏
