Criminal court fines are the most commonly given out sentence- they represented 75% of all sentences last year. Yet there is limited data or research on their use.

Yesterday, Sir Andrew McFarlane, President of the Family Division, spoke to MPs about FDAC.

He explains that haphazard funding means current access to FDAC is a postcode lottery, but the social benefit of FDAC should mean it has cross-governmental support & is available in every area.
