If they're real enough in your imagination to stop you, then make them real enough to fight against. Mine legit has a voice and a name. I have an image in mind. And then I kick the shit of him whenever he tries to make me stop writing or doubt myself. Every finished chapter whacks him in the dead 🤣

That is absolutely disheartening, and it's important to give yourself time to feel that! But try to remember as you move forward that those rejections are stepping stones, and really, you need to get the wrong agents out of the way before finding the right one. Keep going 💜

I just got back some really incredible beta feedback on the new first chapters of Star-Crossed WIP. From the same beta who ✨️shredded✨️ (necessarily) this same book. Now...it's almost nothing but praise and screaming and every emotion I wanted to hit.

Now I have to figure out how to handle praise 🤣

The Kid spent most of his check-up with the gender clinic dropping dad jokes. When told he should eat more red meat, he asked if it could be only in the form of tacos. And when asked if he's doing okay with his transition, he said, "Everything but Trump is great."

It was an excellent visit tbh.
