Should a very small handful of GOP congressmen drop dead, Democrats would have the majority and could elect a new speaker. Then that speaker could refuse to seat the replacement Republicans when they showed up. It is good to have dreams.
@therickwilson.bsky.social I wish when you and Andrew are talking Biden numbers versus Trump numbers you would point out that comparison is with the billion dollar right wing propaganda machine trying try crush Biden, but elevate Trump.
I don't understand why anyone expects negotiation. In the recent past, the GOP deliberately enacted the big ugly bill, intentionally screwing Medicaid and everything else the bill broke. They said that was what they wanted. Why would they change their mind?
I constantly wonder about all the forms I've filled out that want to know both my birthday and how old I am. Is it some kind of arithmetic test? I don't keep track of how old I am, it changes every year!
If the armed forces do turn against him, I hope they take out all the DHS "leadership" first thing so there won't be anyone to give ICE illegal orders.
Hey, SCOTUS said the president talking to the cabinet is an official act which makes him immune. So be grateful he didn't just tell treasury to cut him a check for one trillion dollars.
If your name appears on a ballot for federal office, the IRS automatically releases your tax returns.
If that had been law in 2015, Trump would never have run. I suspect at least 30% of Congress would decide to retire rather than run again if it ever became a law.
I can't imagine a single missile happening, on the other hand, a nuke popping up out of a parked trailer in a big city seems infinitely harder to assign blame for.
I am surprised he bothered to make an excuse. According to SCOTUS talking to his cabinet is an official act and he can't commit a crime doing that, so why didn't he just tell his Treasury secretary to cut him a check for a trillion?
