I've started sketching out the underpainting for my next project, themed on inspirational women.
I've decided to base this painting on my husband's grandmother, who I have written about in the past. She was a Polish political prisoner of war and survivor of Ravensbrück and Sachsenhausen. #art

Introducing my new painting "Genesis: Let there be Fairy Lights!" Looking at the painting under regular lighting it looks very frosty, but under UV light, that's when the festive fairy lights shine! I feel this was the metaphorical birth of fairy lights, hence the name includes Genesis. #art

A quick update on the glazing fix post that I made and how to fix mistakes in an acrylic painting. My idea to use an initial coat of #Liquitex spray varnish worked really well. There was no reaction whatsoever between the glazes & subsequent coats of varnish. I'm super happy 😁 #art #abstractart

Fix mistakes in acrylic painting. My mistake, I used clear PVA glue in glazes for orbs. This meant I couldn't use a liquid varnish over them because the PVA would become sticky. I realised I could spray varnish as a sealant over the glazes prior to any finishing touches and final varnish. #art

Thank you! I will have. I only have small pieces and prints at the moment (my larger pieces have gone or reserved) and I'll be doing a 'stock check' after the market tomorrow and getting everything onto my (unfinished) website. I'll be focussing on larger pieces in my studio over the coming winter.

I'm getting ready for the Female Founders Emporium at #KenfigNatureReserve on 17th August. I'll be there selling #originalart and prints, etc.
There will be loads of amazing creative people there, as well as a farmers market. It's free entry, and about 5 mins from J37 M4, postcode CF33 4PT

My latest paintings finished. The Weird Sisters 8"x10" acrylic on canvas.
I took inspiration from Shakespeare's Macbeth. It was a challenge getting neon to look dark and foreboding, but I managed it.
