Ugh! Just spent an hour trying to figure out why I couldn’t draw. Apparently the new Wacom driver won’t work with my older Cintiq. I had to delete it and reinstall an older driver. Now I’m worried about updating my computer….

I'm rereading a few pieces I wrote in college to use as examples of my history in an upcoming presentation for tweens. I honestly can't remember most of the pieces I wrote. Honestly? They're quite good. I can't believe I wrote them!

Update! Hugo's biopsy results came back and he does not have cancer!! Unfortunately, he's still sick, but we know what's going on. He will be on medication for about a year and should live a normal lifespan. BEST NEWS EVER!

If you are familiar with my work you may remember the comics I have created of my dog Hugo . I have been working on this new project and while it's not fully complete I wanted to post it now.

I'm excited to announce a redesign of my website www.clairelordon.com!

I realized that my old website was very minimal and lacking in personality. The rebranding took more time than I anticipated, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. It now feels more like an extension of myself and my artwork⭐ 🧡

Ten (!!!) years ago my first book deal was announced. I can't believe I've been in the kid lit industry for a decade!

I had fun this past weekend drawing three dog illustrations for @wamal.bsky.social! They have a fundraiser every year where you can get your pet poorly (or not so poorly) drawn.
Here are the three dog illustrations I made as a volunteer.

It's always disappointing to get book reviews that have to do with the condition of the physical book. I have no control over this and it hurts the book's rating :( If this happens to you please contact support before leaving a one star review.
One star review on Amazon. Says "The book was in used condition looked like it had been wet then dried. Very Disappointed. Its a gift for a child on sarurday so i kept it."

Snowboarding is fun, you do tricks, hang with friends, & do it over again. Toeside, sideslipping, & lots, lots more! It's fun to explore when you're on a board!
