I’m learning all the time about the art of bringing people together. Last weekend I was part of the team that ran Humanity Project’s national gathering, and it filled me with joy to be with such a down-to-earth, diverse, funny and loving group of people: clarejfarrell.substack.com/p/the-art-of...

On the release of Roger Hallam from prison - a really good time to remind ourselves of the ongoing problem of police and media collusion. The work to build new institutions that serve the people and not the state continues. Please share if you can. Thanks dears! x

I want to ask you to reflect on a basic human experience of wanting to fit in, and how, in many parts of culture, why we don't grow out of those immature behaviours, and how action on climate has been caught up in this - including calls for Climate Justice clarejfarrell.substack.com/p/is-climate...
Is Climate Justice possible? Part 3
Justice requires elder wisdom and a willingness to be vulnerable, not an immature willingness to fit in at any cost.

Last night I watched Mean Girls, and it made me realise quite a lot about climate justice. It's a teen comedy but it's good! It says a lot about human behaviour, consumerism, and how our sense of safety is woven with our sense of identity. Part 2 of 3: clarejfarrell.substack.com/p/is-climate...

Let me just say, I'm not trying to start a fight! Even if the algorithm wants it... but I do think there's an important conversation to have around where we're at with "climate justice" in a time of almost certain collapse.

Wld love you to read and share x

Nothing makes sense any more when nonviolent dissent is made a false equivalence with erasing an entire people.

Please share before Monday, when doing so could be illegal and end you up in prison.

It took time to think about Vance’s speech in Munich on ‘the retreat of free speech’ but going via Timothy Snyder, Hannah Arendt and others I’m convinced that the imbalance of freedom can be rebalanced with the ‘right to be listened to’.

As friends of mine continue to get locked up for nonviolent resistance for fighting the climate disaster, it's our job to educate ourselves on both nonviolence and violence. There's no better place to begin than with Hannah Arendt. My thoughts. Please share! Tx

What else is going on with the idea that we're an 'island of strangers'. Is it valid? Is this how people feel? Spoiler: it's not immigration, sorry Keir/Nige.

Why do we feel isolated & alone. My friend Alanna @absurdintelligence.bsky.social gets into it: www.absurdintelligence.com/island-of-st...

The outrage over echoes of Enoch are valid, but the deeper question remains: where *are* our communities?

Most of us don't think much about why we're here. We've abandoned institutions that help us have those conversations about what being means.

In the midst of a crisis that's existential AND exponential, to me it's catastrophic not to talk about why we 'are' clarejfarrell.substack.com/p/exponentia...
Exponential x Existential = The Problem
Most of us don't have a sense of why we're here; that's stopping us from dealing with crisis.

Context needs to survive, or we won't. But in their lurch to hoard wealth and power, the super-rich and their political elites set out to destroy context, and so destroy us. Democracy dies with no context. So what can we do about it? My new post, please read + share <3
