I drew a bunch of Pokémon Gym Leaders for a story me and @moominspace.bsky.social are setting up! I like them a whole bunch.
From left to right we have...
Rei - Ghost-Type
Joules - Electric-Type
Rhoda - Poison-Type
and Etienne - Water-Type!
A scraggly looking Ghost-Type gym leader OC. They have messy brown hair, with an x shaped accessory in the tangle. They're wearing a purple coat that drags down to the floor in the shape of a ghost tail, the buttons of which hold their Poké Balls. They hold a Dusk Ball in their right hand. A sophisticated looking Electric-Type Gym Leader OC. He has long, straight black hair, and yellow and blue goggles. He's wearing a white lab coat with yellow and blue accents. Every other button on their coat holds a Poké Ball, the top-most one being an Ultra Ball, presumably holding his ace Pokémon. A rough and tough looking Poison-Type Gym Leader OC. They have dark blue hair, with pink and blue highlights. They're wearing a sort of heavily cropped pink top with dark blue short sleeves, with a black normal crop top underneath. For bottom wear, she has a torn skirt with black shorts underneath, and pink legwarmers that show her knees, which appear to be covered with fishnets. An elegant looking Water-Type Gym Leader OC. They're standing under a spotlight, as they hold a conductor's baton. They're wearing a vest, with a white button-up underneath. The vest is unbuttoned at the bottom, leaving it flowing. it's a nahuatl word! we just took it and fucked up the pronunciation because america
people say it's a loanword and it doesn't really matter, but when it comes from a native language i think it deserves a little credit.

i believe in the gameplay trailer, we can actually see that megas have a timer now! they don't stay for the entire duration of the battle anymore, which would solve a bit of the balancing issue very well in my opinion!
