call me Rex 🐱 I'm bisexual, FtM, and I love to indulge in the fine arts of furry yiff, monsterfucker/teratophilia, and robophilia.
there will be raunchy thoughts here too, especially from the perspective of a service top/soft dom if that's something of interest to you ;)

If I get anxious about the works someone makes then I put some distance there. I don't expect *everyone* to do that, that creator obviously has fans for a reason. I'm just not one of them. I might not be their friend but I am still their ally on the side of sex positivity, no questions asked
clawstied.bsky.social
Yeah I'm pretty sure we get each other here 🫂 I'm not a participant in these big harassment campaigns but I do often opt to stop supporting creators who regularly cross that line I set for myself. I find it incomprehensible how severe the reactions are, no need for threats and life-ruining endeavors
clawstied.bsky.social
All about time and place and knowing when that line of mundanity/kink scene is crossable. If I had just gotten a DM about how that part of the comic was sexy to them it would've been easier to clarify "sorry that was profoundly unsexy for me lol" rather than feeling like a violation.
clawstied.bsky.social
Exactly. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that people do a little room-reading when it comes to NSFW comments. One time I made a comic about my daily experience on the autism spectrum and someone asked me to zoom in and give more detail on a part that aroused them. Maybe... don't do that lmao
clawstied.bsky.social
And again, this post / thread is not about banning or censorship, it's a completely parallel discussion about empathy and compassion. Purging porn is fucking stupid and I had assumed it was apparent that I believe that based on the fact that this is literally my porn account lmao
clawstied.bsky.social
My main concern remains desensitization, not destroying people's lives for thought crimes or crucifixion of pervs because I know damn well that includes me. Over-corrective NSFW policies inevitably net even the most innocuous depictions of the marginalized as taboo objects rather than people
clawstied.bsky.social
All I'm saying is I'm sick of the insults slung around at me for being put off by it. E621 has a great blacklist system; arguments start and end when "ew" is met with "use your blacklist." It doesn't need to include an attack on the person trying to do what you ask and curate their consumption.
clawstied.bsky.social
I feel like we're kind of talking past each other though because again, I'm not talking about the art itself, I'm talking about a social ecosystem where the art exists as a focal point for community. Yes it's not real. Yes I'd rather a potential predator use pure fiction.
clawstied.bsky.social
And re: the trauma angle I think it's fucked to expect everyone to air their trauma to prove themselves to the audience. I don't think anyone should have to say "I survived SA and use art to integrate the experience." That should be allowed to remain in the realm of pure privacy, not a public forum
clawstied.bsky.social
Like I think we'd both agree that hyperrealistic deepfakes or even just Photoshops of real people being assaulted are fucked up. Is the difference literally just the subject, nothing about the nature of the creator or the motivation as to why the image was made?
clawstied.bsky.social
My concern is not about the art itself. It's about the mentalities of the creator and the receiver. Audiences have a responsibility to critically engage in the things they enjoy. I am simply asking for a world where "fiction ≠ reality" isn't a lazy tautology used to end the conversation
clawstied.bsky.social
For clarity's sake, nowhere in my thread did I say this art should be banned. I'm venting my frustration at being told that I'm backwards/conservative for being just uncomfortable. I get that artists have no control over their audiences and the current social media model is self-curated
clawstied.bsky.social
I can't speak for people who have those violent/taboo fetishes but I hope people realize they have a good reason if not a moral imperative to try and maintain that fiction/reality barrier they care so much about.
clawstied.bsky.social
I have things I fantasize about sexually and regularly consume porn depicting it but when it happens in real life there is zero titillation. You should be able to distinguish between a fictional situation where you're free to let that freak flag fly and when you should be present in reality.
clawstied.bsky.social
This is someone who has sandblasted their brain with fetishized violence to the point that the barrier between sexual fantasy and real crime was eroded and it resulted in genuine harm.
That said, I firmly believe it is entirely possible to keep that barrier and still engage in your deep dark kinks.
clawstied.bsky.social
I watched someone in an online chat talk about suffering actual abuse and someone in the chat made a detailed, sexually charged comment about wanting a partner to abuse them like that. That's fucking reprehensible. I don't care how much of a free speech absolutist you are, don't fucking do that
clawstied.bsky.social
My stance isn't in favor of this disastrous top-down overcorrective censorship that governments and payment handlers are doing don't be fucking stupid and bad faith. I care about personal responsibility and desensitization

Yet another wilderness hand job! I need to think of something else to draw!
clawstied.bsky.social
At this point in my life I don't really have time or interest in making attempts to justify myself to strangers. This is a boundary I set. I don't want to see it. And yes, I do think it's unhealthy to consume in regularity no matter why you do it.
clawstied.bsky.social
I can already hear people saying "that's your problem not anyone else's, get over it, you're no different than a conservative homophobic transphobic prude"
and it kinda sucks that that's the reply rather than "I get it, I'll tag it or post a warning on my account that that's what I post about"
clawstied.bsky.social
there's plenty of sex criminals who have no interest in drawn fetish material, I know it's not a determining factor. but... I don't know y'all, it's just hard for me to reconcile my own morality about sex while being told I have to be ok with someone publicly hornyposting about noncon incest
clawstied.bsky.social
I am aware that a drawing of something I consider morally reprehensible/criminal (e.g. nonconsensual sexual scenes, sex acts that would be illegal if enacted IRL) is not the same as the crime actually happening in real life. but there is a reason we make "check his hard drives" jokes. do you get me
clawstied.bsky.social
there's a lot of discourse around the whole "this is not a pipe" essence of drawing offensive kinks and I can't say I agree with it but I'm apparently the minority so I just want to lay those thoughts out here

Stylized rendering of a woman with her legs spread, a bare chested man in intense light drinking a blue soda, a girl holding three masks, and a person in a full latex bodysuit with a reflective helmet. A furry doodle representing the artist draws on paper while laying down in the corner.
