#ClimateCommitmentAct funding helped UW turn a former landfill into clean power⚡️

An 84 kW solar canopy with EV charging for 20 vehicles, built to scale up to 2.5 MW - enough to power ~2,000 homes. Smart use of space, stronger resilience, and proof the CCA delivers. We love to see it!

Community solar can be an economic boon to farmers - especially since 140,000 farms closed between 2017-2022. Farmers can lease land, keep farming through agrivoltaics, and power nearby homes with affordable, local clean energy. Farmers powering communities = a big win. 🌱⚡️

As states double down on climate action, companies respond with ambition.

Ambitious climate laws in CA, WA with the CCA, and the Northeast show how state leadership spurs cleaner business practices while boosting economic benefits for millions of households.

Gas stations are becoming EV hubs. Companies like Wawa, Sheetz, Love’s, Pilot Flying J, and Buc-ee’s are adding chargers where drivers already stop.

WA is seeing the same momentum - Arlington debuted the first CCA-funded public fast charger off I-5, boosting convenient EV travel.

We *love* second-life batteries for energy storage 🔋

ICYMI: A great episode of @volts.wtf feat. Redwood Energy. Used EV packs create more value from existing materials, generate less waste & strengthen the grid as demand grows.
Something like 80% of the used lithium-ion batteries in the country go to Redwood Materials for recycling. So they had a thought: what if we hook all these used batteries up as grid-scale storage until they're completely tapped out, and *then* recycle them? Thus was born: Redwood Energy.
Can "second life" EV batteries work as grid-scale energy storage?
Colin Campbell explains how Redwood drains every drop of capacity from used batteries before they are recycled.
