Ooof, the old “audit to study the effects” leading to a study that shows now real negative outcomes that they immediately ignore and move forward with dismantlement. Seems to be a favorite tactic of right governments.

Utah in the US is caught in that churn with street safety, trans rights, etc.

Looks like the state GOP finally found some election fraud. Love that for them.

The legislature is actively eroding the mail in ballot system. This is an attempt to get ahead of that.

Even if you never want to ride a bike, you should still want these protected bike lanes. Those who want to ride will only do so when they feel like they can do so safely. Once the infrastructure rises to that level of safety, they stop becoming your competition for congestion and parking.
Here we go again: the Utah Legislature wants to go even further in preventing SLC from building safe streets. They want to rip out recently completed bike lanes like the 300 W bikeway. Please contact your legislators and ask them to vote against this *especially* if you don’t live in Salt Lake City

In a couple years, LDS church will invite the world to the rededication of their SLC temple and their world visitors will think it to be terribly ugly. Not the square itself, but the fact the church surrounded it by a sea of parking lots and asphalt.

You staged your flagship temple in a strip mall.

Maybe I don’t have seasonal depression, maybe it’s just that the Utah Legislative session is January-February.

My kitty, my sweet floof, pooped in the sink and then when I went to remove it, ran into the kitchen and made hard eye contact the entire time I cleaned it up.

I’m sure there’s something very specific she’s trying to tell me but girl, this ain’t the way.

It’s probably healthy (in the long run) if the USA enters a post-superpower phase.

Healthy for us and the world.

Looking forward to all of the articles in conservative media about how they should have listened to the legitimate grievances of left-leaning urbanites and if they did all of this could have been averted

Ride bikes and read books

“You’d get bored eventually”

I’ve been developing the same iOS app for 11 years, I’ll be fine.

If this succeeds, there’s nothing stopping SLC from naming the road to the landfill Trevor Lee Blvd.

The these cowards know there will be no consequences for their actions. Even stupid or embarrassing consequences can disincentivize

As someone who used to be Mormon, I find it maddening that the LDS population has such widespread support for the current dictatorship.

So many Mormon folk truly don’t understand how unpopular they are, which makes them ripe for being a target of the regime.

At this point, I think you could switch the US over to metric if you just let them keep Farenheit for the weather apps
