The #KursaalWard councillors hold two community advice surgeries each month.

❖The second Saturday of each month at Belle Vue Baptist Church, 10.00-12.00.

❖The third Thursday of each month at Southend Adult Community College, 16.30-18.30.

No appointments are required.

🏡PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THIS WEEK🏡

Each week I post details of any planning applications received by Southend-on-Sea City Council in the past week, within #KursaalWard. This week there were two.
Planning application 25/01373/FUL, pertaining to 1 Hastings Road, to extend vehicular access onto Hastings Road and layout parking to front. Planning application 25/1413/AD, pertaining to 636 Southchurch Road, for approval of details pursuant to condition 15 (details of the water efficient design measures) of planning permission 17/01180/FULM.

Week two of the excellent Backside to Trackside programme at Garon Park, and this week I managed to run a mile for the first time in actual years! It's a fantastic scheme, and completely free for Southenders, so there's no excuse not to sign up!

Southend Council is to receive a fantastic £739,352 additional funding from the Labour government to help support those in our community currently facing or at risk of homelessness.

It is the Labour Party that is taking definitive action to reverse years of Tory neglect.

Tomorrow sees the return of free fireworks to Southend seafront, courtesy of The Seaside Partnership and their partners.

The display starts at 20.00, and lasts approx 10 mins - plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular night sky. Start practicing your oooohhhs and ahhhhhs now!

Every Saturday morning, Southend Libraries host free drop in brick building sessions for ages 4+, from 10.00 to 12.00 at:

📚Kent Elms Library
📚Leigh Library
📚Shoeburyness Library
📚Southchurch Library
📚Westcliff Library

All children should be accompanied by a parent or carer.

The Mayor of Southend is holding a fundraising meal to raise money for his mayoral charities, Southend in Sight and Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity.

The meal will take place on at 19.00 on Wed 22 October, at Namaste Village. Tickets are £35 per person, for five courses.
