Loved the Morandi exh at the Estorick Coll a couple of years ago, so this dialogue with Sean Scully looks really interesting - only on for a short run though (ending Nov 23) www.estorickcollection.com/exhibitions/...

The @nationalarmymuseum.bsky.social have a new semi permanent exh (till Nov 2026) about Victorian military art. It's not perfect but they have some fabulous paintings, prints and photographs, and great stories behind them. Full review: cmillerartlife.blogspot.com/2025/10/myth...

Ithell Colquhoun born #OTD 1906. Last couple of weeks of her exhibition at Tate Britain (which came from Tate St Ives) Bit too occult-y in places and not sure why she's paired with Edward Burra but its worth seeing to get to know her work - underrated www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tat...

Simeon Solomon born #OTD 1840, currently on show as part of Scented Visions at Watts Gallery (previous version at Barber). If you like Victorian art this is a joy. I don't think you need the gimmicky smells but the idea of visually evoking scent is fascinating www.wattsgallery.org.uk/exhibitions/...

Thanks to @francescaberry.bsky.social Edinburgh College of Art and all involved in yesterday's Research Seminar, esp for making it available online. Very interesting close reading of the two paintings, plenty of ideas to take forward.

Very glad to see Eastbourne's Towner has opened a new space for their Ravilious collection - visited recently and was very disappointed so few were on display. All museums should champion local artists, esp when they're this good townereastbourne.org.uk/whats-on/the...
