Netflix has stated that if they acquire Warner Bros., they will keep releasing WB films in theaters and keep WB as a studio producing television shows for other networks and streamers. It'd be a major break from how Netflix usually hoards its content.

This is chapter 5 of the show, the show's last. It first aired in Italy early 2024.

Certainly interesting to omit American Dad, presumably its staying at its current overnight slot for a while.

Not at all surprising it is omitting Futurama, despite it gaining 5p weekdays soon. That show's probably leaving at the end of the year too.
With King of the Hill no longer airing on #AdultSwim, here's a new promo advertising Bob's Burgers and Family Guy starting at 5:00 PM.

King of the Hill leaves Adult Swim tomorrow night.

The final 12 reruns air from 5:00p - 7:00p, 1:00a - 3:30a, 4:00a, and 5:00a - 6:00a.

Netflix, Comcast, and Paramount have officially submitted bids to acquire some or all of Warner Bros. Discovery.

There will be another round later where bidders will be asked if they want to submit final, binding offers.

WBD believes the sale process could conclude by December.

The next batch of 20 episodes of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball premiere December 22 on Hulu.

Internationally, they'll be on HBO Max and Cartoon Network in February.

The show follows best friends Des and Ray who thought they'd have made it big by now but are instead stuck working on social media at Ecofood in London.

Adult Swim has a Family Guy marathon on Thanksgiving, running from 6:00p to 11:30p. Includes the Thanksgiving episodes they have the rights to air, Stewie Kills Lois/Lois Kills Stewie, I Dream of Jesus, and so on.

Comcast is exploring a bid for some of Warner Bros. Discovery, almost definitely the streaming and studios part rather than the cable networks part.

Netflix is also exploring a bid for the S&S part while Paramount Skydance wants the whole thing.

This year is definitely the year Adult Swim gave in to the current cable climate and started scheduling the network pretty similarly to any other cable network these days. Sad to see but it did take its damn time. Comedy Central's schedule was shit before COVID.

King of the Hill coming back in late 2021 helped Adult Swim weather the rating troubles that came from FXX taking Family Guy... at least until Disney and Spectrum agreed to shoot FXX in the spine and leave it in a 2 year coma. Then we were winning again.

Calling it: King of the Hill leaves Adult Swim for a second time on Friday, November 21.

Follows two weeks of dramatically increased reruns (up to 6 hours a night by the end of it) showcasing 92 memorable episodes from the series.

Mighty Mouse and his Terrytoon friends are now on MeTV Toons! Every Sunday from 3p - 5p.

The Terrytoons shorts don't look superb (they're sourced from the 50s-60s CBS Saturday morning show iirc) but the Ralph Bakshi 80s series segments look great:

The aggressive rerunning of King of the Hill the week of 11/17 (6 hours a night!) seems to come to a stop after Friday, after the show airs its series finale at 5:00a. The show is absent on Saturday, with 7 straight episodes of Bob's Burgers at 5:00p.

Today in unrelated news: MTV has cancelled Ridiculousness after 14 years, 46 seasons, and 1,689+ episodes. First run episodes will end in 2026.

Paramount Skydance wants to reinvigorate MTV by "exploring fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming".
