LSE's RNS isn’t just an Exchange tool. It is FCA‑authorised as a Primary Information Provider in the UK.

That approval is meant to protect consumers. In reality, it handed fraudsters the credibility they needed.

Criminals using the hijacked name of a legitimate company called Penn Park Capital Management Limited published at least two bulletins through the LSE’s RNS.

To markets, they looked routine. That was the point.
They looked credible.

When the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) Regulatory News Service (RNS) - authorised by the FCA as a Primary Information Provider in the UK - carried bogus bulletins, fraudsters gained credibility they never earned.
