What you weigh is boring, how's your deadlift going?

Body shaming doesn’t work—and it never will.

Some people claim they’re being 'honest', but the truth is, body shaming only holds people back. It makes them feel like they’re 'not the right look' for fitness, creating self-doubt and fear of judgment.

Fitness is for all bodies, end of story.

Strength training isn’t about how you look

it’s about seeing what your body is capable of.

It’s about redefining what’s possible in your 40s, 50s, and beyond.

It's about showing yourself you are capable of more than you thought.

You don’t need “the fitness lifestyle” to get stronger.

Most people I work with become strong lifters training 3–4 days a week, with 45-minute workouts.

Some do even less and still make progress.

Find training that fits your life. Train smart, and you won't have to spend all day in the gym.

Random workouts give random results.

The progress you might see in 2 years of random workouts can be achieved in just 3-6 months with a structured strength program.

Achieve more with less, have a plan.

Every body is a gym body!

Many people don't start lifting because they don't think they "look the part".

When we show different body types in the gym, we show all lifters that you don't need abs and muscular arms to belong.

Take up that space in the gym!

Just so we're clear, body shaming doesn't work.

It doesn't motivate people to train regularly. It makes them feel like they've failed already, and they don't belong in the gym.

Stop shaming or stop pretending you care.

You are not too old to strength train.

Most of the people I work with are 35+, and the oldest person I’m training now is in their 60s.

Age is no barrier to feeling strong in and out of the gym.

Your journey might look different, but different doesn't mean worse and that it can't be amazing!

Your lifting experience doesn't need to be about losing weight

Lift to be stronger in and out of the gym

Lift to prove to yourself you are capable of more than you thought

Lift to see what your body can do, not what it's 'supposed' to look like
January 20, 2025 at 4:28 PM
The best fitness goal for you is one you'd still be proud of achieving even if no one else noticed or complimented you for it.
January 14, 2025 at 3:58 PM
More training days is not always the answer to become a strong lifter.

You actually don't become stronger in the gym. You become stronger recovering from the gym!

90% of the lifters I work with train just 2-4 days a week for 30-60 minutes, and they're getting stronger.

Reminder that your weight does not define you, and you should lift heavy weights.
January 14, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Not everyone goes to the gym to change their body.

Some of us exercise to feel strong, healthy and confident in our everyday lives.

Our workouts are about what our bodies can do, not what they’re ‘supposed’ to look like. And that’s more than enough.

You can be the weird one in the gym- focusing on strength, not the scale.

You don't need to have weigh-ins or before/after pictures

Just lift weights, enjoy the process, and celebrate the strength you're building!
January 13, 2025 at 3:52 PM
The weight on the scale ❌

The weight on the bar ✅
January 11, 2025 at 4:06 PM
Btw, you don't need to weigh yourself this year.

And you can still become a strong lifter!
January 11, 2025 at 4:06 PM
I'm a weird trainer.

I don't have weigh-ins.
I don't have before/after photos.
What you look like is boring to me.
I only want you to feel strong in and out of the gym.

I like being weird. Are you weird too?
January 9, 2025 at 4:18 PM
"It's easier to become strong when you're younger"

True.

But that doesn't mean it's too late for you.

Many of the people I work with started lifting in their 40's and 50's - and now they're stronger than ever.

It's not too late. You've got this!

Getting older doesn't have to mean getting weaker.

If you want to become stronger as you age, here are 5 things you should focus on,

Want to become a strong lifter after 40?

Here are 3 things you need to know,
January 6, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Can we make weigh-ins optional already?

Not everyone wants to be forced into a weight loss goal.
January 2, 2025 at 3:10 PM
Yes, the gym will be packed.

But don't let that stop you from your goals.

Take up that space in the gym, you belong there too!
January 2, 2025 at 2:18 PM
Reminder for 2025:

Just because the gym is busy doesn't mean you can't take up space.
December 31, 2024 at 4:54 PM
Make 2025 about strength, not the scale.

Realize how strong you can truly become!

I'm a weird trainer.

I don't have weigh-ins.
I don't have any before/after photos.
What you look like is boring to me.
I only want you to feel strong in and out of the gym.

I'm ok with being weird.
