I might have to give the other 4 choices some thought but this one gets the #1 slot from me - still one of my top 10 albums of all time.

Such an amazing choice of musicians including the late Danny Thompson, Holger Czukay, Kenny Wheeler, Jon Hassell, and Ryuichi Sakamoto

Nominations had to be in by February so it was never very likely. He'll still throw a major strop though.

Are they grooming Denham to take over Kate Andrews regular slot now that the latter is going back to the US?

Walking back to Westminster tube from Tate Britain I noticed a reference on Millbank House to a previous road name to what is now Great Peter Street.

From the OS it looks like the change to extend Great Peter Street happened between 1938 and 1950.

Remember to always look up!

A short section of the late 3rd century AD stone wall encircling the #Roman Town of CORINIVM DOBVNNORVM (Cirencester) with projecting polygonal tower

Originally extending for 2 miles (3.2 km), enclosing an area of 240 acres (97 ha), this is the only bit exposed today

Had to do a church locking up to cover someone else and can report that it is absolutely foul out there right now.

A tragedy but other libraries also existed in the ancient world! We might be biased but we recommend joining the Hellenic and Roman Library. library.ics.sas.ac.uk

I wrote an article about an early theatre plan for the Ley Street / Balfour Road site - think C&A and Wilko.

Of course only now - by accident - do I find the plans for the public library that was in the running for that site a couple of years later.

Sigh.

Playing this one for the first time for a long while.

Did I really buy this 50 years ago?

Good grief...

🏛️ Beautiful mosaic floor of the Roman baths at the Sanctuary of Poseidon, Isthmia, Greece. The baths were built ca 150 CE and were used by the athletes who performed in the Isthmian Games. The mosaic depicts Triton and sea creatures. Video filmed a couple of days ago.
