Today's #Godot practice is very silly. Trying different methods of destruction physics in a Mario-like 2D platformer - rigidbody debris or Worms-style circular cutouts. 2006 Newgrounds is gonna love it.

I tried a few #Godot Terrain generator plugins but nothing quite hits the iterative joy of Bryce. I wonder how hard it would be to just grab a bunch of existing noise and texture functions and glue them together in a "procedural, textured terrain in 5 minutes" plugin.

Fun to roll a ball in though!

Learning that #Godot has built in noise textures, noise generators, sky environment generation etc. has me pumped up to mess with some weird Bryce3D-esque environment generation in real time. I hope I'm allowed to rip the textures from Bryce and reuse them...

#Godot practice again - I have the beginnings of a windowing system. Windows are draggable, resizable and completely local. Next up - a compositor to handle window focus, alt+tab behavior, etc.

I wonder if this all already exists as some plugin somewhere.

More #Godot practice, teaching myself Godot's UI and canvas. This is very silly.

I finished up a small browser-playable slice of an old puzzle game I made a long time ago. It's based on the rules to classic puzzle game Yoshi's Cookie.

Give it a try, it's free!

Finally getting around to teaching myself #Godot with a stone cold classic of tutorial games.

Dug up a puzzle game project called Firewall I built in Unity quite a long time ago. I really ought to fix this up and put it on my itch.io, it's totally playable.

A couple months ago I found out that Plants vs Zombies had an accidental PowerPC Mac port in one release - but with a huge timing bug. I really wanted to play it on my iBook G4 so I ended up patching the bug myself.

Plus, that old phone had some killer gaming on it.

Wonder if this build of Tetris is the same as the one on the clickwheel iPods?

Found an old cell phone in a drawer - still held a charge! Shot some sick VGA mallcore pics with it yesterday. Something about the fluorescence, fuzzy resolution and my shaky photography skills makes it a bit headache-inducing tho.

Here's when I spent a few hours learning Blender to try and recreate the Bryce look, but in five minutes managed to make the Bryce equivalent, and it was so much better it hurt. It was a bit demoralizing honestly! I'll try again someday.

Had a Bryce3D phase a few months back. Making renders with it was really quick and fun in a way that tickled my brain just right. One of these days I need to get back into learning Blender so I can recreate "The Look".
