Fall photos

Choir reposes in quiet reverence. A line of bare trees rises in a soft blur, their vertical forms stretching upward like voices reaching for something unseen. The haze carries them upward, thinning their branches until they seem more suggestion than wood. The ground is muted, the sky washed in a pale turquoise that presses down like silence before a note is struck.
There is no sharpness here — only the impression of trees dissolving into mist, becoming less a forest than a presence.
I sat down & listened, waiting to see if the forest would speak first.

Sunrise over the Tennessee
Sunrise over the Tennessee arrives like a memory half-formed. The pastel light bends through river mist, softening the edges of the waking world. The bridge dissolves into gold and vapor, barely distinguishable from the trees it leans toward. Water touches the sky in a loose embrace, rippled & imperfect, like thought itself. The moment does not announce itself. It just is -- luminous, quiet, slow as breath

Barn & White Horse
