Nice one. I did a piece in 2009 that reminds me this one. Mine was in watercolor(attached here) I guess this is acrylic. Playing with light is always satisfactory.

A wooden stool with a red broken mop rinser with a red broken lamp in it stand right behind a big bongo. They are immersed in the light of my garage at midday. A lot of sun casts a lot of light in the lower part of the painting, which is basically the white of the paper untouched by colors, and its the floor of my garage. Shadows rise as you move above in the paintings. Long thin shadows of the stool and other dark lines over light make the transition between lights and shadows. Like life, which is lights and shadows.
The original drawing had been painstaking sure to the quantity of details. I also was too much of a drawing noob to understand much of it wasn't necessary at all... Sminke watercolors on watercolor Canson paper. 50x70 cm, 2009

ILL-EQUIPPED!! That's a nice term sir! I gotta remember to expand my vocabulary of disdain for people that have an occupation way beyond their ability ( pretty common here in Italy, I tell you)
