The University of Minnesota only functions because of its workers. I stand with the U of M service workers of Teamsters Local 320 who are striking for better wages, more staffing, and a fair negotiation process. They deserve the same respect, and raise, as other university unions.

The shooting at Annunciation Catholic School is a devastating and tragic event and my heart goes out to the victims and their families. These kinds of senseless acts of violence have no place in our communities and neighborhoods.

There will be a vigil tonight 8pm at Lynnhurst Park for the victims.

Whenever I’ve participated in a clean up in a park there is one thing that myself and my co-workers always find, needles. When we are in the middle of an opioid crisis and an unhoused crisis this is something that sadly has become commonplace.
