We have exactly the same problem in the UK. House building became a profit industry, rather than a public requirement. Add in ageing populations so housing stock gets turned over less, prices have spiralled.
Part of me is really struggling to empathise, I must say. You get the government you deserve sometimes, and they knew who Trump was. But they voted him in anyway.
Now they're watching him spend millions on a ballroom while half the government workers go unpaid.
What the Libs and Tories did in 2010 in tripling the cost of higher education was unforgivable, and this country will feel its impact for generations. That Labour are compounding that by rising these in line with inflation is astonishing. The whole system is now further rigged for the rich.
There's no way somebody "hacked" his Facebook account and then just handed it back to him so he could log in and delete "their" post. That is absolute nonsense of the highest possible order and everyone knows it.
The guy is such a waste of oxygen it beggars belief.
Just a quick note on this; when Facebook accounts are hacked, you don't get them back quickly, if at all. Hackers don't break in to post something and then hand it back to you. A friend of mine was hacked 12 months ago and he's still locked out now.
I don't suppose they looked at why productivity was low, did they? Or why the population is ageing, perhaps....
Of course they didn't, because that would shine a light on the corporate greed and political cowardice that has led us to where we are in the first place.
It also raised my mortgage repayments by about 80%. It wasn't Russia and it wasn't COVID. The interest rates were spiked by Truss and her bone headed game of chicken with the economy.
I'll never forget, and I'll definitely never forgive.
And like so many of her peers, she's a hypocrite. A ladder lifting, self serving hypocrite, dining out on division and ignorance. She's not the future of the Tories, she's a future Reform bod.
Of all the problems in this country at the moment, and they choose to dedicate their time to this.
This is Tory levels of tittle-tattle, it really is. Hyper focusing on entirely the wrong things, while ignoring the things that are doing the real damage.
It's phenomenal that they have reached the point where they're killing people without trial or evidence, and we're only 10 months in. The speed at which they have moved to this point is staggering. That anybody supports this type of behaviour is even more terrifying.
