Our latest version, 2026.01.08, is now available!

Including visual refreshes on Android (moving to Material 3) and an expanded #OpenStreetMap editor (support for POI types requiring multiple tags, like adding statues, coffee vending machines, …)

CoMaps release 2025.12.19 is now out.

In addition to fresh #OpenStreetMap data from December 17, new features on Android include better warnings about outdated maps when trying to edit OSM and the ability to specify your own remote-server for downloading maps.

Release 2025.12.11 is now out on Google Play, F-Droid, and the iOS AppStore. Updates include adding & editing charging sockets for electrical vehicles in #openStreetMap and a UX refresh to Material 3 on Android.

Is It Really FOSS? reviews software that claims to be free & open source. This effort has unfortunately become necessary as projects increasingly start to "do the talk of open source", without actually "doing the walk".

We've made a hotfix release for Android: codeberg.org/comaps/comap...

It fixes a bug with voice directions pronouncing weird symbols when the "Announce Street Names" feature is enabled.

It also includes updated OSM data as of Nov 23.

Already out on Codeberg & soon on Google Play and F-Droid.

People can use CoMaps for leaving notes on #OpenStreetMap. Those notes can suggest edits that are outside CoMaps' editing capabilities.

To calculate the "best" routes and more accurate arrival time estimates, #CoMaps assigns so-called penalties to road features like traffic lights.

For this to work, data needs to be available and correct in #OpenStreetMap. Check out how you can tag errors in data.
