I hurt too much to pay attention to anything with a story, but the friendly noise would keep me company.
Recently I was playing DND with my lovely husband. My character was doing something voluntarily difficult. The NPC that he was portraying said "okay, so this will hurt at the start... And then it will keep hurting the whole time."
And honestly he has nailed this whole experience. Accidentally.
