Amazing pits.
I don't understand the American ones anymore (mainly hardcore not metal) where everyone is doing Capoeira and randomly punching people who are not involved in the pit). Back in my day, you looked out for each other and made sure no one got hurt. Shit like that is why gigs die off.

When the jokey Halloween games get personal, or just truthful.

Listening to Unslayable by @tyrannus.bsky.social to wake up for the day. A good dose of extreme metal to blow away the cobwebs.

I read the series alongside the original run of Constantine Volunes 1 through 5 and Watchmen and the message across the board in these comic series is that the good guys aren't always that good and the bad guys aren't always bad. Its shades of grey and perceptions from within and without.

I once got them all digital on a free kindle trial and went through all 6 volumes. The comics are a lot darker, very blasphemous, although due to his experiences with religious bodies and people. The end of Season 1 is pretty much a reverse flip of what happens in the comic which defeats the point

Did you hear that he got a wrist tattoo during filming and they then had to cover it with makeup for the next 3 seasons.

Like The Boys but they backed away from the controversy and actual message of the comics which left it flat. Too many changes to characters backgrounds as well made other things not work. Cassidy was the only who seemed free to misbehave.

I think the TV execs were too wary to show that he hated the religion and the hypocrisy of all the religious people he came into contact with. Basically any religious figure was a murderer, abuser, psycho wanna take over the world or inbred messiah. It ran close to the line in the comics much

I liked Season 1 even though it strayed too far from the comic storyline that the story was affected. Season 2 was bogged down with too many storylines and comic material that didn't work because of not following the comics in Season 1. I've still to watch seasons 3 & 4 as 2 wore me down by the end

I've seen the first two years ago when there used to be a Horror Channel on Sky in the UK. Didn't know there was a trilogy film. A

That's why i loved The Last Broadcast. It was presented as a cheap, late night true crime show, and the found footage was scratchy, wobbly, and all over the place even though the people who "shot" it were making their own TV show.

Listening to some classic 90s British thrash, Acid Reign - Obnoxious. Fast and punchy but with a good side of British humour.

Have just started a pack for people/bands/labels etc involved or interested in heavy metal as there doesn't seem to be one currently on Bluesky. No particular genre of metal, all welcome

Let me know if you would like to be added to the list.

Listening to Soulfly live at Dynamo Open Air 1998 vinyl. Sounds a little raw. Crazy that this was 27 years ago.
