Thoughts on this "All New, All Daring" era of PPTSS?

(released July 16, 1985; art by Rich Buckler)

I didn't know how much I needed to hear someone else say this. Thank you.

I personally agree with your first point. But they didn't have the rights so hard to blame them for moving on with a different focal point.

This was back in the theaters this weekend & it was so fun to see it on the big screen again after 23 years.

Some of the effects don't hold up but this is still one of the best comic book movies of all time & probably my favorite.

This was the movie that made Marvel realize the MCU was possible.

That's fair. Not quite up to Whiplash status.

Firebrand is almost too good for this group lol. Crimson Dynamo was another--I never really even understood what he was all about but he cool.

I love the Iron Man C-Listers! Melter, Dr. Spectrum (my personal favorite), Blizzard...I really enjoyed all of them when I was young and there's still a fondness there.

I even created my own back then: The Drill! And he was just what he sounds like--a costumed guy with a giant drill! 😂

Ad for second Spidey-Supes crossover (July 1981).

What’s a movie people wouldn't believe you’ve never seen?

This is the moment we really knew this character was something special.

A little something different for #TopShelfFriday.

Not a big key but one I'm very fond of--the first book I ever read written by Bill Mantlo, my favorite CB writer during my comic collecting youth.

I loved Mantlo's commitment to serialized storytelling & ambitious narrative vision. Still miss him.

That’s definitely a top shelf comic, nice!

Here’s my #TopShelfFriday pick I got in the mail the other week, What If vol 2 issue 1 #ComicsSky

Except Frank Silva doesn't deserve that.

Why are you attacking me? 😜

Haven't done one of these in a while: A Stingray maze courtesy of Marvel Fun & Games!

Adam is such a ridiculous character. He does weekly 180 degree personality morphs as either hero or villain based solely on what the story needs. #TSITP

Tbh my expectations for the #TSITP finale were quite low so being spared another Belly peach eating flashback was a major W.

This movie did NOT underachieve. I don't care what anyone says. This was a good movie that made a lot of money.

Also not at all happy Illyana's losing her ongoing.

Agreed. Thoroughly unimpressed by the "foreshadow" variants!
