Story time... RIP Drew. I remember when I was a kid, one afternoon my parents took me and my sister to the movies, forget about streaming, going the movies was a BIG thing back then, we rarely used to go because it was a bit expensive for my dad... 👉 shorturl.at/Z6w5s
Hey, we haven't forgotten about Lucho! He suggests that artists use a lightbox for inking. Let me know if you already use a lightbox in your art creation process and what advantages you've found. Follow and suscribe to CM Substack for more tips! 👉 shorturl.at/nQufI

Finding the perfect reference for a prop in your story may be hard, before I had an archive of old magazines and paper clippings for reference. Today, a quick Google search is all it takes! Don't hesitate to research and be creative with your prop designs. shorturl.at/xvoV4
I wanted to share a small homage to Jane Goodall, who recently passed away. Her profound love for nature and unwavering passion were an incredible example to us all.

Rest in peace.

It's often details like sunlight filtering through leaves or steam rising from a coffee cup over a character's face that can make or break a panel. SFX in comics coloring can significantly enhance the storytelling. Follow and subscribe to CM Substack! 👉 shorturl.at/7laIk
Coloring it's not my strongest skill, but I believe that as long as we approach it as an integral part of the storytelling—and not merely a technical step or a "coloring by numbers" exercise—the results will be successful. 👉 Follow and subscribe CM! shorturl.at/TCVEi
I'm excited to share a bit about the collaborative process behind the logo for our Halloween Special. My writer initiated the idea, and after creating a few sketches, I pitched them to my designer. She then delivered an amazing execution in record time! shorturl.at/dobKG
Hope you like the en result!
This particular work in progress explores the contrast between a super-strong, muscular character and a tiny, weak one. I'm attempting to render the muscles in my best Sam Keith impersonation. I hope you enjoy it! Subscribe to Comics Magic Substack 👉🔥 shorturl.at/nCugy
Every comic page is created at least three to four times, from thumbnail sketches to finished pencils and inks. I'm excited to offer you a sneak peek at Comics Magic's new project, a Halloween special currently in the works! Coming soon. 👉 shorturl.at/nCQHS
Sometimes a pose and a model are so inspiring that I feel compelled to take a sketch to the next level. Grayscale is often that crucial step between a drawing and a full-color painting. I'm even considering taking this piece further! Follow CM Substack shorturl.at/f1kDE
Starting a new piece! Let's see where this one takes us! #Sketching #Sketchbook #Art Follow Comics Magic Substack for a more detailed approach to the creative process 👉 shorturl.at/TA6tZ
The drawing process itself is fairly straightforward. The most intricate part, however, is the conceptualization—determining how to represent the core idea in an allegorical way. I hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to follow CM Substack 👉 shorturl.at/eJOZG
I couldn't resist adding some color to this piece! I find that color always helps to enhance the storytelling, he looks like he's about to jump into a volcano or something dramatic!

I hope you enjoy seeing the process. Let me know if you'd like more content like this, follow CM shorturl.at/KYgr9
I’ve always been a fan of the Frazetta, Mark Schultz, Frank Cho school, WDYT? Should throw some color into it? Thanks for following the full process! Have any questions, just throw them in the comments. Follow CM Substack for more art process insight 👉 shorturl.at/o0T0H
Final piece
So, final result, kind of like it, I’ve always been a fan of the Frazetta, Mark Schultz, Frank Cho school, WDYT?

I started with a loose sketch for this Warrior/Viking character, initially intending to give him a fierce war expression. However, I realized his pose is more observant and contemplative rather than aggressive, so I've went to that direction. shorturl.at/cBAG0
If you're confident in your knowledge of anatomy, light and shadow, you can go straight from a practice sketch to full inks. This will simply highlight areas where you can still improve. It's a win-win situation for your development! #Sketching #inking #Morningpractice #WIP
Some social networks are flagging this #sketch as adult content 😐🤔😒 So to be more careful you can see the finished piece and follow Comics Magic Substack at 👉 shorturl.at/kFPSe

Early Morning sketching, try to be playful, see what the pose suggests, may be the start of an idea for a short story or even a full adventure!
As the week comes to a close, I wanted to share these black and white covers of Lucho and Red Ram. While color is amazing and often feels like the wrapping of a gift or the icing on a cake, I find that black and white art speaks to me more clearly and directly as an artist.
