online art spaces used to feel like a fun escape from reality, like interlocked real worlds, like a physical item you could put on and take off. the experience now feels like attending a church when you know god is a dude we made up.

Online spaces regardless of activity all feel like a game who's player base is mostly missing. There remains enough people to play but the energy is wrong, there's no immersion.

Like, when was the last time you hopped online and shared some art and it felt good? I used to kinda get a lil kick out of seeing and sharing art and talkin to ppl but anymore it's like sickening to try. I can't describe it, it's like when you try to draw and can't feel the rush of it, otherworldly.

I'll be making all of the sketchbooks from 2022 free and a bunch of the stuff from this year too but some of it I've chosen to paywall cus I'm at my psychological limit for working and maybe at 30 I need to try harder to make art pay even if it's not in my nature. oops lol
