Great reporting and a knockout final line:

“Not long after, as the sun was going down, an SUV with tinted windows and an out-of-state license plate was seen barreling down a nearby street. It was followed closely by three cars, with drivers laying on their horns and whistling.”

I just remembered I’m getting an induction hot plate soon. I’m so excited! I can have scrambled eggs whenever I want! I could stir fry something! Hell, I could make creme anglaise! The world? My oyster.

I have a very velcro-like brain for words & accents, which is a bit of a problem when mixed with how much British media I consume.

The latest issue is that I cannot stop saying ‘hob’ when I mean ‘stovetop’. Not helped by ‘hob’ just being a great word.

Trump’ll be at 15% approval & these consultant-piloted dipshits will still be trying to win over phantom centrists.
Josh Shapiro believes he is uniquely suited to win over Trump voters—but he’ll need to overcome distrust among some in his own party first, Tim Alberta reports: theatln.tc/mR9AHSG4

I do want to note three things that have happened in the wake of what ACIP is becoming to hopefully put some panicked nerves at ease.

1.) The American Association of Pediatrics is publishing their own schedule that matches the one before this goat rodeo.

After cyber Monday, it's untangle Tuesday, where we're meant to spend a few hours untangling cords. Then comes will-o'-the-wisp Wednesday, where floating lights will lead us to sale items. Thrall Thursday is when we all follow the orders of the Bone Lord and help with construction of the Bone Tower.

It feels particularly chaotic in here tonight so I am going to go back to watching vlogs where someone talks to me about knitting & baking in a lovely Irish accent.

Open the app, take a look around, everything’s on fire again:

“Thinking of becoming a porridge gal. Loved that shit as a kid & thinking of taking it up again. Yep. Yeppers. Mmm-hmm.”

My car door is sealed shut in that ‘you need to run the car for a half hour before you can open the door to start the car’ way.

Which I might bother to work on if my lane wasn’t a glacier in that ‘did I just see a mammoth go by’ way.

One of the many terrible things about our failing healthcare system is the nightmare of scheduling things & the even worse nightmare of rescheduling.

A properly staffed & resourced system would mean I could cancel my mammo today & not add ‘boob crushing’ to a migraine situation.
December 3, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Today’s mammogram/ultrasound extravaganza will be made more exciting by a simultaneous game of Migraine Chicken, the game you always lose, but ‘how badly’ is up for grabs!
December 3, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Today was kinda shitty, but at least tomorrow I…get to dig myself out of a slushy mess first thing in the morning so I can get a mammogram & ultrasound? Yay?

Other people are a fucking hazard to my mental health sometimes.

I miss the IKEA catalog. The annual paper one that you’d find in a pile on the coffee table every few months & flip through all over again, amending your long list for The Big Trek to the store.

Simpler times, man. Simpler times.
