I try to forget there’s a winner to be chosen that goes to the contest in May. Instead I will be seeing it as going to Finland to see friends, eat laskiaispulla, drink Lonkero, ride the train and enjoy a ridiculously diverse show with two accordeons, a violin and an all night afterparty endurance!
I just booked my flights for UMK. 🙃

Forgot I’d registered for tickets last year (I still had some hope left back then) and they really say ‘no bags of ANY size allowed but you CAN give us more of your money and buy our branded pouch’.
(I promise try to be less cynical and move on but it’s hard, ESC was almost everything to me)
