Mail art is on my list of tiny art practices for this year; low stakes, low pressure, and everyone loves snail mail!! (Okay, I do.) Friends, if I have your address… fair warning. (Tiny = healing, brain-escaping, community-building. Here’s hoping!)

I made myself a slot-together plywood Christmas tree in mid-December… and somehow finished it in time. She’s joyful, painted, slightly chaotic, and living with exactly one chunky light strand. If you want to see the whole process (including my 1940s inspiration), it’s up now.

Simple work often has a quiet confidence that takes time to build. We’re allowed to have a lighter season, or a series that feels less grand. Right? Right! The work doesn’t have to prove anything… it just has to exist. These paper quilt collages are trying to teach me that! corriebethmakes.com/shop

What I love about papier-mâché is that I can sit down and work on it in my small studio at my apartment. No toxic ingredients, no fancy tools, and nothing expensive, just raid my recycling bin and I'm good to go! (Okay, paint and glue too!)
