Tonight was a German variation on the theme: Ground beef (hockfleisch) Jäger Art (hunter style) with Käse Spätzle and Rotkohl (red cabbage.) Peach Pie a la mode for dessert. 😃

I so enjoy having the time to cook a meal at home. Tonight was a variation on Gibelotte, a staple of our childhood dinners. Usually it was ground beef with mushrooms and green peppers, or ground beef with stewed tomatoes, almost always served over mashed potato.

It's distressing that we have so many shootings in this country that we don't even hear about all of them. Glad to read it wasn't related to a con.
