I could talk ahead about the details I dislike in Apocrypha but really it can be summarized down into feeling the most like open fanfic out of all the spinoffs (except maybe something like Labyrinth) where there are a number of homages and choices that reflect poor writing on Higashide's part.

Whenever I see takes about how smut and serious storytelling cannot coexist without undermining one another I'm always so curious if the person also thinks the same of other forms of catharsis/gratification in art. Or does strong violence get a pass because we're specifically puritan about sex.

It does still kind of unnerve me how much G-Witch is still part of the discourse cycle compared to other Gundam properties. I can't speak to the validity of any of it but I find it disquieting in a way that makes me sound a little insane

I think the most important thing to *ALWAYS* keep in mind when writing is that character development is so pivotal to telling any story, particularly so you can brainwash them later and show the contrast between how far they'd come and how far they've fallen. Also sex scenes with mostly dialogue.
