Tomorrow morning: It Takes Two to Tango, my greater than 250 word count response to Paul Fanlund's "appeal to Madison's 'uniparty'".
Madison's "uniparty" doesn't exist and when you don't have the political control you desire, it's easy to complain but more interesting to try and compromise

Madison could benefit a lot from a land value tax. The abandoned MATC building downtown has an annual property tax rate of $17,000 and is valued at $1,000,000. The similarly sized 1 S Pinckney on the Capitol Square generates $1,200,000 in taxes and is a 2 minute walk away.
