Country singers Nat Stuckey & Connie Smith collaborated on a pair of albums in 1969 & 1970. The 1st of these is this 1969 release of mostly cover songs that were originally recorded as duets. The title track was released as a single. It was the 1957 hit by Sonny James. #CountrySky

They performed on the Louisiana Hayride and Wheeling Jamboree, Became members of the Grand Ole Opry in the 1950s.
The duo broke up in 1959 as both brothers entered the United States Army. Doug continued as a solo artist.

Happy Birthday Natalie Maines! She joined the Dixie Chicks in 1995 as vocalist & guitarist replacing Laura Lunch who left the band. This 2020 album was the last to use the name 'Dixie Chicks' which would soon be abbreviated to 'The Chicks'. It was their eighth album & first in 14 years. #CountrySky

Country artist Wynn Stewart was considered by many to be the originator of the 'Bakersfield sound' Merle Haggard Buck Owens both considered him an influence on their music. Wynn had varying success with airplay & charting. His biggest hit came in 1967 & is the title track of this album. #CountrySky

Canadian Country singer Dallas Harms🍁 was active in music during the 1970's & early 1980's. He released 5 albums & 22 singles during his career. Dallas was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1989. He released this single in 1982 It was Dallas' only #1 single #CountrySky🍁
