A: After any significant wildfire involving mountains, canyons, or foothills, there will be increased risks during rainstorms of debris flows, rockslides, mudslides, & flooding for up to 5 years. (Continued ⬇)

🛑 Do not attempt to cross flooded areas & never enter moving water on foot or in a vehicle.

⚠ If you see someone who has been swept into moving water, do not enter the water and attempt a rescue. Immediately call 9-1-1; if possible, throw a rope or some type of flotation device to them.

⚠ Burn areas from wildfires in recent years remain highly susceptible to mud & debris flows.

Residents in these areas are urged to stay vigilant, monitor official weather updates, & avoid unnecessary travel during storms-especially if they have been advised of mudflow risks in their neighborhoods.🧵
