I think I may finally fix my sleep schedule. at least for now! I'm exhausted and have 10 min left of this show my boyfriend and I are watching. then it's bedtime for meeeee and I'm sure I'll be passed out in minutes. then I can get up early and do my calc exam BEFORE I start Monster Hunter.

been playing some Monster Hunter the last few hours. I'm SUPER AWFUL at 3rd person games, especially on controller. the camera is such a pain but I'm slowly getting used to it.

I killed a hot pink hippo monkey thing and it farted on me. 😩

every once in a while someone will be talking about "wizard casts fireball and ruins everything" and I'm reminded of the time I killed several NPCs and almost caused a party wipe because my dragonborn sorcerer got mad at a pirate for getting handsy and thunderwaved in the middle of a crowded pub

I guess it's my fault for looking at the Steam community pages, discord, and reddit. I shouldn't do that. I should just enjoy the game and tell my friends how great it is despite the fact that it's not complete or released.

ANYWAY. go play Fields of Mistria and the Moonlight Peaks demo. 🫰

but it's so hard for me to stand back and be objective and see complaints from a player only perspective without getting incredibly defensive and wanting to shove the negative nancies down a well. y'all have GOT to cut these studios some slack and give them way more credit than you are.

and I know, I KNOW, that part of the issue is because I've been in game development and I 1000% know how hard it is for an indie team to make things perfect, and that things take TIME, especially with a small team, and most of these studios can't afford QA teams. I need to look through a wider lens.

I genuinely don't understand how and why so many cozy gamers are SO. INCREDIBLY. NEGATIVE. when it comes to demos and early access games.

ugh I don't know how these places can get away with this shit considering how expensive it is to rent! like I pay rent instead of a mortgage so I have access to constant maintenance yet they don't maintain shit!

this is on top of the slew of other problems. my garbage disposal and dishwasher have been broken for two years. my fridge drawers are FULL of water because the freezer keeps leaking but they say it's "not a big issue" so they won't replace it. the list goes on.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's mold in my apartment. I have had a headache basically for three years, and constantly have allergy issues even in the winter. I know for a fact there's mold in the bathroom but idk if it's black mold or not. should probably get that tested...

there's a black mold infestation in several units in my apartment building and the manager and owner are saying it's "just dirt and dust."

I have GOT to get the fuck out of here. maybe I should do a donathon/subathon for the rest of this month and November to try to get moving expenses. 😩

YES! which is wonderful. it's actually recommended! though there is a bug right now where you can't change your roof color using a controller. you can do it with mouse though. but other than that controller is 100% better.
