It's definitely one of my favorite TTRPGs and a lot of fun to play!
Working on a one shot for Fabula Ultima that I'll play test with the family and then probably use at a con next year. It's been a little while since I've played FabUlt and I'd forgotten just how fun the system is and how well it hits the JRPG vibes.
Another Daggerheart kickstarter just launched, this one primarily adversaries and environments (with a campaign frame!)...I'm digging the third party support early on for Daggerheart.

I’m hosting a Daggerheart game at PAGE in January and signups went quick. I think, less than a week after posting, I have one seat left (maybe not even that. Haven’t checked this morning)
If you're learning to GM Daggerheart and haven't already watched this video from Rob Jon's Lair, then you should definitely check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO5F...

Ooooo! I can’t wait!
I just saw a Christmas advertisement on TV. It is October 26. I can’t right now.

Love both Daggerheart and Shadowdark, though for very different reasons. I'd be curious to hear your perspective on how your Saturday session goes, moving from PBTA to Shadowdark seems a greater distance than PBTA->DH...tho maybe not!
Break has its good points, in my opinion, but Fabula Ultima definitely beats it out in terms of feeling like you're playing a tabletop version of a JRPG.
I love that aspect of DH! I love how things like armor and HP (and stress!) have this narrative weight that can be lacking with other systems. And yet it still maintains a place for cool abilities that have synergies that can be fun to discover or use.
I find it really fascinating that about half the time I'm talking to someone new about Daggerheart they perceive it as having loose rules and the other half as being crunchy. I think this is an example of how DH is trying (and succeeding) to sort of straddle the line between those two realms.
I'm looking forward to when this launches! And even more to the finished product!
Looks like you had an incredible time!
I’ve been trying to come up with a decent one shot idea for Fabula Ultima and last night I feel like I might have stumbled onto the seed of a usable idea. Hopefully it actually develops that way! Fabula Ultima has a serious shortage of one shot or short adventure material.
Haven’t played a witch yet. In Daggerheart healing and utility could also be a Wizard, or even potentially a Seraph. All the classes are designed really well and have proven a lot of fun to play, so far
Hosted a small one shot day today. It was a blast. Had three tables, Shadowdark, Dungeons & Dragons, and Daggerheart. I ran the Daggerheart table and everyone seemed to enjoy it and really like the system. Shadowdark table also had a lot of fun. My son played at the D&D table and had a blast
It’s a blast! It’s a group of 8th and 9th graders so lots of craziness. We’re about 5 sessions into a campaign that’ll probably be between 15-20 sessions. A ton of fun so far
It can certainly be exhausting. And with GMing all of them that probably twice as true. But so much fun. Particularly tonight, when I’m GMing Daggerheart for my son’s group
Realized today that beginning last Wednesday I had a schedule of GMing four different TTRPG adventures over a ten day period. Not a lot for some folks, but abnormally large for me. The second is tonight, another on Wednesday, and then a one shot on Saturday. Excited about them all.
It's Banned Books Week! So I'd like to encourage you to visit your local library, check out a book that's been banned or challenged somewhere in the past, and read. Or just support your wonderful local library and librarians in some way.

I think you’re right. Tho I can’t imagine only playing a single class, even as a player. To each their own tho! I do sort of wish they’d make the cards from the core set available to purchase alone (without the book). I’d happily pay some amount less than the full core set for that.
