I don’t agree with you on this one. There are clear risks if an ID system is misused, however the benefits are clear. Starmer will no doubt use it to show he is getting tough on illegal working, but that is a better option than just ignoring the issue and increasing the chances of a far right Gov.

When children or Democratic State representatives are murdered the perpetrators are always mentally ill and in no way influenced by political discourse. When a vile, misogynistic racist is murdered the perpetrator has to have been driven by extreme left wing views.
Isn’t it customary to just offer ‘Thoughts and Prayers’ when people are shot on a school campus. I suppose right wing lunatics are a bit more important than mere children though. Has Alex Jones claimed that it is fake yet?
I’m confused. Usually when people are shot on a school Campus we offer our thoughts and prayers and move on. At least the conversation seems to be moving towards retribution rather than any form of gun control.
@psbhq.bsky.social were phenomenal at the Bandstand in Glasgow last night. So many highlights, and the brass section really rocked. They are as tight as any band I have seen in recent years.
Does this indicate that no crime was committed or that the wrong people were put in jail? I’m looking forward to the trials of the leading bankers and Government officials who actually instructed this massive fraud.
This is a personal business trip. Why are any media outlets reporting on it at all, other than to point out that it is a travesty that Scottish and US taxpayers have to pay millions so a fat criminal can waddle round a golf course.
