Tuesday night vibes. Half way through #knitting the button band on this cardigan, and then the longest sewn tubular bind off ever because it must match the sleeves and tubular cast on. Looking forward to knitting something different soon. 😆🧶

Watching the playback of last night's @AEW Full Gear, while finishing knitting up this sleeve. This audience is hilarious, chanting BALD PEOPLE to the tune of Hurt Syndicate's entrance theme at the first 4 entries in the Casino Gauntlet, and then HE'S NOT BALD when Danny Garcia shows up. 😆 🧶

Looked over half of my 8# Corriedale fleece from NYSW 2025, to bag up to wash on Black Friday. Compared to the Romney cross from a month ago, this has lots of short/2nd cuts, 4oz so far. Some locks were partly full length and partly short cut. Maybe a new shearer? 🤔 🧶 #handspinning #yarn #handspun

Hell is a pile of "finished" knitting that just needs ends woven in. There's 5 pairs of hand knit socks that have been languishing on my desk for 2 YEARS, just needing ends woven in. Today is the day!

I never heard of Zuca bags until I started looking at what people were using to transport their EEW6. Thought it might be overrated. Found one new SUPER cheap on Mercari, and yeah it's perfect. 😆🧶 My first spin on the EEW6.1, no plan, just vibes. I think I'll call her Clotho. #handspinning #handspun

There's a church down the street from my house that regularly plays Christian rock music on Sundays loud enough for me to hear. Tonight, there's a party at the church. They are screaming along to Journey's Don't Stop Believing. The song about two teenagers running away from home. K then. 😂

Recovery day today after a fun filled weekend at NY Sheep and Wool. I mostly picked up fiber for spinning, including 2 fleeces!
I also snagged a gently used Brother drum carder on eBay a week before, so perfect timing on that.

I may have pre-gamed my NY Sheep&Wool trip 🫣🧶. My justification being I didn't see either of these vendors on the vendor list. The green sample is the same Cormo silk blend that I ordered from @hipstrings.bsky.social . I LOVE this green, I need more of it!

The second skein was also very kinky and curly, but not as much as the first. A soak in hot water seems to have made a huge difference! Drying out in the sun this morning. Definitely taking a break from merino for a while, I think I'll try some Polwarth next. 🧶 #handspun #handspinning

🧶 Adventures in plying continue. It looked like I had done a better job on this one than on my previous skein. At least it did on the bobbin, and the niddy noddy. Took it off the niddy noddy and damn, what the hell happened? I still have 4oz more in singles of this to ply a second bobbin. #handspun

It's only going up to 69F today, and I LOVE IT. I have recently threatened to move to Canada just to escape the 85+F heat. GIVE ME AUTUMN!!
It's also Hocus Pocus season, so it's time for the usual October coffee mug at work.

That's my cowboy. Fuck ICE. Really is refreshing when an entertainer (or musician, or author, etc) you like turns out to be a decent person.

And I love that AEW lets their talent express their views like this.

This MF'er. The tax dollars used to gather all this military brass in one room could have fed a couple thousand school children. If you don't recognize the blatant threat in his words, you are part of the problem.

Plied up some singles last night. It's...ok? Not over spun like my last project, but it's like too much twist came out in plying? IDK. Still needs to be washed.
This was 4oz of merino top from my LYS. I think after I ply the rest of the merino singles I have I will try some BFL. 🤔🧶

One pair of Halloween socks off the needles for #FOFriday, and another Halloween pair cast on. The finished pair is in Desert Vista Dyeworks, probably my longest WIP. Started them in 2020, kept forgetting about them. The new pair is in Crochet Cove yarn from 2021. 😆🧶🧦 My stash likes to marinate.

Picked up an EEW6.1 and some accessories for my Ashford last month. Spent some time getting to know the EEW this week. There were hiccups when I forgot to put the back end bearing on, but it's good now. I guess I officially have a "flock" of wheels now. 🧶

Do you guys have any idea how involved a process it is to sculpt and then cast something? The This isn't a couple minutes of Banksy spray paint, it's HOURS of labor. And whoever this is, is doing it to piss off the orange clown. I love the dedication here. #art www.badchoices.us/p/bronze-sta...
Bronze statues of BFFs Trump and Epstein suddenly appeared over night in DC. 😂
Why does Trump not want us to see the Epstein files? An innocent man doesn't act that way.

We really should be teaching higher levels of history, science, and civics in high school. College isn't for everyone (trade schools are valid and necessary), but a high school education sure is!
