Ange Postecoglou gave Spurs glory. They gave him the sack.

In a game driven by greed over glory, Postecoglou’s sacking is a brutal indictment of modern football.

My thoughts on the big man getting the axe:

Forget the usual cheerleaders and the online giggles.

The new Ibrox appointment brings a very different challenge to the table for Brendan Rodgers. And it’s actually quite exciting.

My thoughts on what Celtic can expect.

Glasgow Derby Squad Update
• Jota out for 9 months
• Daizen Maeda & Kuhn should be OK for Sunday
• Alistair Johnston ruled out – being managed for cup final
• Yang returns to the squad

Jota will be ruled out for up to nine months with the injury he picked up at Tannadice.

A massive blow for the player personally and the club. He was still working his way back to full match fitness and sharpness.

Will play a part in the second half of next season. ❌

New Column ‼️

After seeing the eye-watering price of the new Celtic/Adidas gear, the idealist in me wanted to rant about where football has gone and why fans are being taken for a ride.

Brendan Rodgers has been dropping breadcrumbs when it comes to his long-term future. I believe the Celtic manager has had a three-year plan from the beginning, and that's what we'll get.

Let's enjoy the ride, but be mindful of the future.

Celtic may have lost to Bayern, but this Champions League campaign has been a statement of growth.

Rodgers has restored our pride, but can the club hold it together and push on? My thoughts on this campaign and what’s ahead👇

Bhoys were outstanding tonight. Engels and Maeda in particular but we played brilliant football, great goals and we pressed and harassed until the full time whistle.

Thirteen points clear 🔥

Jota’s return to Celtic was full of emotion—but not everyone appreciated it. McGeady & Boyd took digs at his reaction, but they completely missed the moment.

Football is built on passion—why sneer at it? 🤷‍♂️

So many positives on Wednesday, but the alarm bell in my head is deafening—what if CCV isn’t fit for the knockouts?

Does that “what if” push the club to act, or are they set to roll the dice?

My latest column for @celtsarehere.bsky.social Extra Time.
Editor Column: CCV’s Fitness Holds the Key to My Celtic Joy (or Despair)
Editor @CraigCelt looks at an issue that really came to the fore at Villa Park on Wednesday night, and how Celtic should be minded to fix it before the window closes.

Rodgers confirms KT has signed a pre-contract agreement.

"Ideally it would (happen in January) but he’s still at this moment an Arsenal player.

"I think everyone is agreed that will definitely take place in the summer. If we can do it beforehand, then great."

Alex Valle heading to Como on loan for the rest of the season. Celtic agreed to the loan deal being terminated early to make this move happen.

He leaves with a League Cup medal and maybe a league title medal in the post. 🥇

Not bad for 19 appearances.

You don't often see a club sell its top striker mid-season. If Kyogo does go, Celtic has 100% considered our league position. Had we been just 3 points ahead, there's no chance it would have happened.

Saying that, if Kyogo fancies it, and we have a replacement. Let's go.

Celtic found a way. Simple as that.

Massive props to Adam Idah who didn’t score the goal but he did the work. Kasper coming up big too. No less than Celtic deserved.

And when we all get our breath back, we’re having a party in the champions league.

Good night.

Just the 3 goals disallowed and a poorly hit penalty for Celtic in the first half.

Celtic have been all over the away side and have nothing to show for it. We were never going to run away with this game tonight but even I didn’t see a first half like that coming.

Lots to do.

A massive night for Celtic ahead. It’s been well over a decade since Celtic have reached the knockout round of the Champions League.

The atmosphere is building, you can feel the electricity in the air.
