If you could share one piece of advice for managing mental health that could help another young person struggling, what would it be? 💡 💭

We asked some of the young people who use our Here4YOUth and ROUTES services to answer this question for Youth Mental Health Day.

Here's what they had to say 👇

It is recommended that emergency alerts remain switched on, unless it may cause a risk to your personal safety.

As a provider of Domestic Abuse services, Cranstoun is providing guidance to support people who may have hidden second phones for safety purposes, eg victims/survivors of domestic abuse.

Over the weekend there is going to be a test of the UK Government's Emergency Alerts system on mobile phones. If you have a second phone for safety reasons, this could leave you at risk.

All compatible mobile devices will vibrate and make a loud, siren-like sound on Sunday, 7 September 2025 at 3pm.

The shocking number of children growing up in temporary accommodation is already shameful and we urge the government to use the upcoming spending review to commit finance and action to address this crisis.

The investigation also highlights how children will be living in unhealthy, unsuitable housing for long periods of time, whilst the cost to the taxpayer is set to soar by 71% to £3.9bn per year.

Projections published in @theguardian.com, from analysis by @sheltercharity.bsky.social, has revealed that 206,000 children will be living in temporary accommodation by 2029 – a 26% increase in just five years.
