Also one of the ladies at our table told me I could just bite meat off of the seal blubber instead of pulling/cutting. So I may or may not have basically deep-throated a piece of blubber as wide as my face. She gave me very amused looks when I started cracking bones for marrow too

I'm quite Visibly Danish so I get varieties of "What's your connection to Greenland?" When I visit. But the sweetest I've gotten was one today asking me "Are you here with your aanaa (grandma)?" Which - yeah !! Kinda! I sorta reverse-adopted a lady there and have been calling her aanaa/my grandma -

I went to an Inuit bingo/dining event and oh my Gods the funny experiences. Most notably, one of the ladies there calls me Tupilak [a vengeful spirit] because she doesn't know my name and I threatened to send her one a few months back

Weight loss talk //

The biggest scam with weight loss is that if you're starting at a high weight, you won't even be able to tell you've lost weight for quite a while. I've gone down 50lbs this year and my body still feels the same at 163lbs as it did at 213 🫩

I performed a puppet theatre thing yesterday and one of the kids I'd been "targeting" (playing with through a dragon costume because he clearly found it funny) rounded back after the show to hug the dragon head goodbye. Y'all, the way I had to stop myself from crying 😭

I'm okay, middle-aged dude took a tumble down some granite stairs. He was getting help when I arrived but one of the people helping was a lady with a baby, so I offered an extra pair of hands and we kept the guy talking until the ambulance came 20 fucking minutes later. He seemed okay enough
