We had a great at time at @duncanrigsecondary.org's Extra Curricular Fayre today. We changed the usual format and held a concert featuring superstars from a number of our extra curricular groups. Well done everyone who performed!

I think it’s fair to say that our pupils were happy to hear that this year’s show will be …….. Legally Blonde!!!! Get ready for an energetic, fun-filled production packed with music, laughs and lots of pink!!! 💕

Our senior singers are very excited about taking in part in today’s South Lanarkshire Instrumental Musical Service vocal day with over 185 pupils from all over the authority. Can’t wait to hear them sing. 🎶

Congratulations to S1 pupil Ellis who recently a merit for his Grade 4 piano and a distinction for his Grade 3 Ukulele. Quite an accomplishment at such a young age 👏👏👏

Well done to our primary and secondary performers who took part in last week's summer concert! Although we didn’t get many photos, here are a few that reflect the energy and talent on display. There was a fantastic variety of entertainment and everyone performed brilliantly. We couldn't be prouder!

It was great to hear premieres of works from our Young Composers and showcase the talents of our Music Technology pupils at Mad Fest 2025 yesterday. Congratulations to class winners Heather and Callum. You can hear all prize winners at our Summer concert this Wednesday, 18th June at 7pm.

The final event of MAD Fest 2025 took place yesterday at Westwood Parish Church. What a lovely morning of music making with fantastic performances from our junior and senior classical and contemporary musicians. Congratulations to our class winners Layla, Sarah, Reece and Allan. 🥁🎤🎶

Well done to all performers who took part in our Musical Theatre showcase on Wednesday night. Amazing singing, dancing and acting from you all. You make us very proud. 😊 Congratulations also to our MAD Fest 2025 Junior Musical Theatre winner Madison Forbes and runner up, Chloe Colreavey. 👏🎭🎶

Our concert band are working hard and sounding great at the start of their 2 day band camp. Many thanks to Universal Connections for the use of your amazing space. Lots of fun planned for the rest of today and tomorrow. Can’t wait!! 🎶🥁🎷⁦

Last night our talented NPA class wowed us with fantastic monologues, emotional musical theatre songs and a show stopping final dance number. Our first MAD fest prizes were awarded to Allan Steel (senior monologues) and Mirrin Carmichael (senior musical theatre). Well done to everyone involved. 🎭🎶

We are immensely proud of these Duncanrig pupils who performed brilliantly at tonight’s Anyone Can Sing concert at the Village Theatre. Wonderful ambassadors for our school. Well done guys 👏🎶🎻🎤
