Artist and Mom creating in the middle of the mess for calm and joy. Sharing creative starting points to get you going so you don’t even have to think about it.
Another #art piece created to calm my system. I’ve found that the #painting motion and drawing circles help me regulate and focus on my breathing. I did the outline a while ago, and added the colors today. May turn this into a #greetingcard. Would you be happy receiving this as an encouragement ?

#Doodling is a form of meditation that helps me find my calm. Having a #creativestartingpoint gives me a boundary to work with, helps me get to flow because I can work in synch with that’s there and not come up with something from scratch which would cause stress and be counter productive.

Trying to get into the habit of sharing more #art as I create it. This was an exploration for one of my creative starting points for moms that I’m developing. We’ll see where it’ll take me.

Happy Fall friends! I hope you have a lovely start into the new season.

Been busy working on new patterns and testing products so I can share those with you soon and will be updating my shop accordingly.

What's something you'd like to see?

Ever since I started #sewing I have been curious about seamless designs. When I started to reconnect with my art I decided to give them a try. This is one of my early ones. The more I experiment the more I'm starting to find my style, but this is still fun.

Stared the day working on this triceratops (this one is commissioned by my 3 year old).

He’s looking forward to #coloring it.

Later I’m going to the zoo where maybe I’ll meet some new friends I can draw. Have a playful Friday all!

What’s your favorite subject for your #art?

It's okay to slow down and take a break. Rest is vital to our well-being. How are you taking a break today? I think I'm going to make some fresh ginger lemon honey tea and savor that, maybe do some reading or writing #selfcare #selflove #slowdown #momlife #mentalwellness

Selfcare doesn't have to be big. It can be small moments that make you breathe easier that add up. What makes you breathe easier when things feel heavy? #momlife #integratedselfcare #selfcaremoments

Happy Valentine's Day! While showing love to everyone else today, don't forget to include yourself on that list! #selfcare #selflove

Haven't made any art today (yet), but I had a really good conversation catching up with an #artist friend I haven't talked to in years and I picked up my #ukulele for the first time in a while. That's #self-care too. Now I'm having some tea in a self-designed tumbler. How did you care for you today?

It's been a stressful parenting week, so this morning I decided to just do a quick process painting and just feel the feedback of my brush and strokes while taking deep breaths and just focus on what I was doing. It helped a bit. #artfortherapy #paintyourfeelings #selfcarepainting #mindfulart

When you try to do another #neuroart piece but your toddler turns it into a color theory piece. We learned that if we add black paint every color becomes dark. I love the texture he added though #artoflettinggo #gouache I'll have to work on my #mindfulart later. 😅

One of the best decisions this year has been to start working in #traditionalart again and instead of focusing on 'results' focus on the #creativeprocess Had so much fun when kiddo asked to join me. Core memory for sure. What are you enjoying working on no matter how 'good' you feel you are?
February 9, 2025 at 3:41 AM
I've been feeling the draw to make art just for the sake of creating and self-care, not for the end result and that shift has been really powerful. I'm glad I came across the concept of #neuroart, it was just what I needed and will be added to my repertoire for sure. #watercolor #traditionalart

Been feeling the draw back to traditional art after working mainly digitally. So today I took out my paints and went for it. I focused on the process rather than the outcome and just enjoyed the act of painting. It's okay to just enjoy what you're doing, not everything needs a tangible outcome.

Hi Blue Sky! Just joined, so I thought I'd say hello and share one of my drawings (that's what I do, I'm an artist) inspired by me trying to learn to play the ukulele last year. I don't really play, but I pick it up occasionally and it makes me ridiculously happy. Tell me something about you!
